A state tournament veteran, Burnham used her years of experience on the course to shoot rounds of 71 and 69 to win a share of the individual title. Burnham's score of 140 placed her in a tie with New Prague junior Kenzie Neisen, who shot rounds of 72 and 68. Cretin-Derham Hall junior and last year's individual champion Celia Kuenster finished third with a two-day score of 144. Shakopee senior Alex Schmid, who was tied with Burnham for the lead after day one, finished fourth with a two-day score of 146. The Skippers used a late rally and extra innings to advance through the quarterfinals, suffered a tough loss in the semifinal round and then had four pitchers combine for a shutout to earn the third place medals. Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning against Rochester Mayo in the quarterfinal round, the Skippers found a way to score twice to send the game to extra innings.
